Family is Medicine
Right now it’s hard for all families to stay close – but it’s even harder for families of seriously ill children, especially those who must travel far from home for medical treatment. As Canada’s family care charity, we understand the importance of keeping families close, especially during these difficult times.
For Audrey Letournel, staying at RMHC Newfoundland & Labrador allowed her to be with her son Weelo for 501 nights – to play with him, to cuddle and to celebrate special occasions like his first birthday and first steps.
We are reaching out to our valued supporters, to help spread the message about the importance of family in a child’s treatment journey – when families stay together, sick children get stronger.
The need for our essential service, and enabling access to children’s hospitals across the country, has never been more critical.
