Lights of Love Tree
Christmas is an important time for families. At Ronald McDonald’s House it is a priority to celebrate special times of the year with families staying at our House, including Christmas.
Lights of Love Tree, introduced in 2012 as a means for individuals, businesses and communities to celebrate the strength of families in healing a sick child. The Lights of Love Tree is an important and festive initiative that helps raise awareness and funds for Ronald McDonald’s House Newfoundland and Labrador.
This is the ONLY fundraising event to take place at our house.
To start the Lights of Love Tree Campaign, Ronald McDonald’s House will erect a large outdoor Christmas tree on the grounds of Ronald McDonald’s House in St. John’s and in participating communities throughout our province. The tree would be initially decorated with white bulbs and with love, the tree will change to red.
Donations to Lights of Love Tree Campaign are used to provide a home-away-from-home for sick children and their families. For a minimum tax-deductible contribution, one can honor or remember a special person in their life with a red light that will shine on our Lights of Love Tree.
